Research has proven that bird’s nest is the perfect tonic for expectant mothers and their soon-to-be-born babies; its consumption of which can provide the body with several rich nutrients and benefits.   The crucial period for brain development is when the foetus is in the mother’s womb till birth, and up to the age of 2 years.

When a baby is born, it is dependant on mother’s breast milk which has a high content of salic acid, known to aid cell growth in the brain that speeds up memory and retention capabilities as well as to boost the immune system.  Every milliliter of breast milk contains 0.3 mg to 1.5 mg of salic acid.  As the baby is too young to produce sufficient amounts of salic acid on its own, mother’s breast milk is the supplement.  Bird’s nest is also rich in salic acid. Therefore, smart mothers who know what is good for their babies will start to consume bird’s nest from the early stages of pregnancy.

It is also ideal for boosting general health and building resistance against infection in premature babies and those that are born underweight.
